Artemis, the twin brother of Apollo and the daughter of Zeus and Leto, is the goddess of chastity, virginity, the hunt, the moon, and the natural environment. She is the huntsman of the gods and the protector of the young. Being the Greek goddess of the hunt, she was normally portrayed as living in the countryside. All wild animals are scared to her, especially the deer.
